  12.      minimum hardware requirements.  The program should run on any 
  13.      IBM or compatible computer with 256k or more (that's right, 
  14.      only 256k), equipped with a MONO, CGA or EGA monitor.

  94.    The ALITE diskette should contain the following files:

  104.    To install the program follow the instructions below:
  105.  
  106.    1. Start your computer and make sure you are at the dos prompt.
  107.  
  108.    2. Insert the ALITE diskette in Drive A or B.  
  109.  
  110.    3. Type A: (or B:, depending on step 2, above) and press ENTER
  111.  
  112.    4. Type INSTALL, press ENTER and follow the on-screen instructions.

  116.    STARTING THE PROGRAM
  117.    --------------------
  118.    The information provided below is to help you start the program for 
  119.    your hardware configuration.  For more details about the operation 
  120.    of the program press the F1 (function) key once you have started 
  121.    the program. (Make sure you have installed the program using 
  122.    INSTALL, as explained above).

  125.    * NOTE: ALITE uses a program overlay technique to free up more RAM    *
  126.    *       for data.  As such, if the program is run from a floppy disk, *

  132.    ALITE is started from DOS using the command:

  134.    ALITE /Option1/Option2/Option3/.....     [ENTER]

  136.         Available Command Line Options
  137.         ------------------------------
  138.     /H     - Enables graphics for Hercules
  139.     /E     - Enables graphics for EGA
  140.     /ATT   - Enables ATT display graphics
  141.     /Q     - Quick screen updating for CGA
  142.     /V1    - Force CGA mode on VGA monitor
  143.     /NT    - No Keyboard Turbo (Eliminates conflicts with some programs 
  144.              that directly manipulate the keyboard registers)

  147.    ALITE may be set-up to run from any directory (usually on a hard disk 
  148.    system).  The way to do that is to:
  149.  
  150.         a.  Include the ALITE directory in your DOS path, and
  151.         b.  Set the environment variable ALITE as follows:
  152.             At the DOS prompt type 
  153.  
  154.                    SET ALITE=Drive:\Directory
  155.  
  156.             For example, if ALITE is installed on your drive D and 
  157.             in a directory called ALITE then the SET command would be:
  158.  
  159.                    SET ALITE=D:\ALITE
  160.  
  161.    For details on using the program, please make sure you print out 
  162.    the on-disk user's manual, ALITE.MAN (approx. 65 pages).  This file 
  163.    is extracted for you during the installation process and is a formatted 
  164.    and ready to print on any printer using 60 or more lines per page.

  166.    To print the manual file to your printer, simply use the command:

  172. Modifications in ALITE 1.10g
  173. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  174. 1. Correction was made to the module evaluating algebraic 
  175.    expression in @IF statements, staring with a plus (+) sign.
  176.    In earlier versions, the first term following the plus sign 
  177.    would be ignored.

  179. 2. A modification was made to ensure the @ACOS(x) function would 
  180.    return the correct result on boundary values of (x).
  181.  
  182. 3. A correction was made to assure proper operation of the 
  183.    {INRANGE ...} macro command, by suspending the macro 
  184.    processor while in the pointing range mode.  
  185.  
  186. 4. A modification was made so that the status indicator now 
  187.    displays [READY] after a {QUIT} macro has been executed.
